I’ve been saying it before but the posts are getting further and further apart. I’ve been meaning to write earlier but I always end up doing something else. Not really any meaningful things but you know… gotta find the energy to write something as well. Nothing in particular going on. Working 100% starting tomorrow. Hope that goes well. Will be a long day, 8am to 10pm as I was invited to watch a soccer game between Elfsborg and IFK Norrköping after work. Which means I’ll be heading to bed right away after finishing this post.
It’s been a good weekend albeit feeling a bit too short. An additional day off would have been great. Just not doing anything. But I guess I’ll have to save that for next weekend. I watched a good movie yesterday called The Age of Adaline. For some reason I often put off watching movies when I’m alone as I much prefer to watch TV series because it’s more easy to digest and it doesn’t take up as much time. Had nothing to do yesterday evening though so I decided to watch this one.
It’s about a woman whose body stops aging after being involved in a car accident. Her car leaves the road and ends up submerged in water and her body temperature lowers and her heart stops. All of a sudden thunder strikes and she’s brought back to life, only to find out that she’s not aging anymore. This leads to a lot of problems as I’m sure you can predict, and actually it is quite a predictable movie. But it doesn’t matter as it is really well played, her memories as well as current events really hits your heart. It’s basically a romance drama with a scifi twist to it. I didn’t know Blake Lively could act this good but she positively surprised me. Other actors include Michiel Huisman and Harrison Ford, the former which you might recognize from Game of Thrones and well, the latter needs no introduction. If you want to watch a feel good movie with some touching moments I can thoroughly recommend it. Like I said, quite predictable and nothing amazing but it definitely sets itself apart from the crowd at least. It’s also cute and I guess I’m weak for movies where the characters reminisce.
Also managed to finish Mr Robot. The show got me really curious during the first few episodes but then halted a bit and didn’t really pick up and got interesting again until the last 2-3 episodes. It’s also one of those shows who screws with your head a bit as it can be hard to keep track on what’s going on. Kind of like American Psycho where you don’t really know if everything’s real or if it only goes on in the main character’s head. This one you watch firstly for the characters but then also because it can be quite exciting at times. Some parts feel like they’re underdeveloped though or just don’t get enough time or aren’t that interesting. But the core theme and especially the character of Elliot are worth watching the show for.
Ok so yeah, better head to bed as tomorrow’s gonna be a long day. Hope you’ve had a good weekend as well and take care y’all! Hugs~~
