Sleepy, sleepy me

It’s Monday and we have a new week ahead of us. Or so I thought, before I realized that no… it’s actually Tuesday. Haha. Yeah, my brain is indeed asleep. Been really tired after my long bike trip this weekend, and tired in general. Been having these cold blisters in my mouth over the past days so I might have something running in my system. Anyway, gonna sleep soon and rest properly all this week and I’m sure it’ll be fine soon enough.

Yesterday me and Erik went to Borås to watch Elfsborg play soccer against IFK Norrköping. Were invited by a company that’s interested in taking care of our IT stuff at work. Nice guys. Fun and eventful game as well! Later on, after getting home, we played some NHL 16. So much fun! This is the first hockey game I’ve played since NHL 2K5. And before that I think NHL 98 was the last one I played. I still hold NHL 94 as my all time fave though.

An update on biking and bike related stuff

I continue to feed my biking addiction and lately I’ve added some stuff to my list of gear. First I bought a bike lamp which I can use to ride during evenings as it gets dark quite early here now. Around 6pm and in a few weeks that’ll be 4pm. And since I’m now working 100% again I won’t be coming home early to be able to use any of the daylight available. Happy to say that it was a thrill to ride with the lamp. The routes you already know become something else and it’s somewhat of a challenge from time to time. Can’t wait to do some more night riding.

Also bought some new clothing as it’s also getting more chilly during the days, sometimes dripping below zero during nights. I stick to Craft since that’s worked really well before and just recently I got the storm long sleeved jersey, puncheur bib pants and some neoprene shoe covers. Can’t say that I was freezing during today’s really long ride. Body’s getting sore when you ride over 100k though. It’s really not fun anymore after that, especially when you’re riding alone. Sure, the weather is fine and all but it becomes more exercise and less fun. It takes so much time basically, over four hours today. Almost five. But I’m happy to achieved some new goals and it shows that it’s possible. I should be ready for next year’s challenges.

Today we also watched the first runs from the annual Red Bull Rampage competition. Those guys, well, they’re just crazy. Riding down a mountain with slopes so steep they’re almost vertical. Honestly. But it’s great fun to watch and happily none of the riders got seriously injured so far. Well a few broken bones but that’s to be expected when you do something like that and charge on like they do. You can watch the event over at if you’re interested.

Anyway, I doubt I’ll be doing any long bike trips in the foreseeable future. It’s just too time consuming and also it’s chilly like I said and it won’t get warmer the closer to winter we get. Yeah. WINTER IS COMING! 🙁

Adrenaline, cramp, sweat, crash – oh so wonderful

Had one of the best weekends in a long time. Birthday hangout @ Hannah’s with some lovely people. Fika(!!!) with Lennart, Henriette & Andreas (outside, lo and behold!). My first ever mountain bike race together with good friends, Västgötaloppet (which I could go on and on about for hours). Exciting MotoGP race. I honestly can’t ask for much more out of two days. I think this is what you’d call “high on life”. I particularly have to take part in more races as the excitement and adrenaline you get from it is some serious shit.

But, I’m short on time. It’s Sunday evening, almost night, and another week awaits all of us. I’m just gonna upload some photos and let them speak for themselves. Hope you all had a good one!

Photo credits to sis, dad and Andreas. Thanks so much! <3

New week, new possibilities

It’s Monday and I’m just about to hit the shower. Today I visited my new colleague and friend’s new house. Got to see her partner and her charming daughter. Fun! Also bought some liqueur, saw mom&dad and went for a short bike trip. Lovely day~

PS. I pulled the tooth and it all went well!
